Mass DOT to convene A Transit Study Advisory Group
As part of the study, we will organize an Advisory Group to provide recommendations to the MassDOT/MBTA. By helping to identify and refine transit improvement ideas and by spreading the word about the study, this advisory group will help to develop a Roxbury/Dorchester/Mattapan Transit Needs Study that best meets the needs of our riders, the City of Boston, and the MBTA.
How You Can Help
We are seeking individuals who live in Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan who have a strong interest in improving transit service in the study area, an open mind, and a willingness to make a firm commitment to the advisory group process.

LOOKING FOR HEROES
National Drunk Driving Prevention Campaign
Campaign for Designated Drivers and TEAM Coalition

The concert program is a joint partnership between the HERO Campaign and TEAM Coalition, two non-profit organizations, whose goal is to save lives by promoting the use of designated drivers nationwide. The HERO Campaign was established in 2000 in memory of Navy Ensign John Elliott, who was killed by a drunken driver two months after graduating from the United States Naval Academy, where he was
named the "Outstanding HERO" in his class. TEAM Coalition promotes designated driving and responsibility in professional sports stadiums and arenas nationwide.

The HERO Campaign and TEAM Coalition seek to register one million designated drivers nationwide through concert sites, sports stadiums, schools, colleges and businesses nationwide to save lives and prevent drunk driving, which claims the lives of 16,000 Americans annually, and injures more than 350,000, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Boston City Councilor Rob Consalvo introduced John's Law anti-drunk driving legislation in 2002 that became national law in 2005, in memory of Ensign John Elliott, inspiration for the HERO Campaign.

To sign up for a concert call David Vittorini from Councilor Consalvo’s office at 617-635-4210
